Durgan doesn't want to take any risks, so he goes around the cliff, and continues to march even through the night, until he reaches the road.
Durgan is tired and his mind is clouded, so he decides to take a break. He lets Sessativa lie on a cleared area of dirt. As he sits and leans on a tree he feels a wave of fatigue, but his confidence fights it off.
He knows better than to rest here in the open, so he decides to move both Sessativa, and his own bedroll 50 feet off the road in some grasses. Finally giving in, he mumbles a final Cure light wounds on her before he falls fast asleep.

Durgan: You find a place to rest in among some tall grass. You sleep well and wake up some 14 hours later. You see that you have not been disturbed and Sassativa is looking a little bit better.
Zork: The shop keeper tells you he knows of no adventures or people looking for aid right now but he is not the one to ask. Head down the street and talk to the city officals they are the ones who knows that stuff.
Zork thanks the shopkeeper for the tip. After leaving he looks for the officials that he mentioned down the street. Once found he will introduce himself as a skilled warrior ready for hire.
Durgan lies on the ground looking up for a good 10 minutes. His muscles don't want to move, but he forces himself up. He packs, dresses and picks up Sessativa before heading off. He tries to keep a steady pace on the road back to town, the long rest definitely helped.
Zork: You head down the street and soon come to a larger building that is at a corner of two streets crossing. The building is made of wood and stone and looks to be very defensible. You see two guards outside the main entrance watching people as they move up and down the roadways. What is your next move?
Durgan: You set off once again towards town. It will take you four and a half days to reach town. Do you stop and rest any during that rest of your trip back?
Zork calls out to the guards letting them know he is there to speak with the officials who may have need of a skilled warrior.
