She will allow you to see the journal. It is ia list of names and reports of activity in the area. She writes your name next to a few of the reports of bandits to the east of the city. You can see a few items are listed as being lost. She picks up the small sack and counts out 25 gold pieces. She hands them to you. "This is the reward for killing those bandits. I have a list of some of the items lost and I can match them up if you bring the items here. If no one is still around to claim the items they will be returned to you as spoils."
Durgan thanks her, taking the reward gratefully. He returns to the inn to get the items and sees Zork already waiting. So they go back together to hand in the jewelery, then to visit the temple.
When you get back to the stronghold you enter through the main door and see the large half orc behind the desk. He will ask you for your weapons. Once given he directs you through the door behind him. Once you get in there you approach the human female at the desk. When you explain your coming back to see the Lady Estari the woman asks you to please wait a bit and she calls over a guard. She tells him who are here to see and he looks over at you before heading up the stairs. About ten minutes later a guard comes down the stairs and approaches you. "Sorry for the delay if you would accompany me I will lead you to the commanders office." He will escort you up to Lady Estari's office and opens the door and motions you in.
Lady Estari is standing at her desk with her books. "Ah, Durgan welcome back. Who is this with you? I see that you have brought the items we have spoken about earlier. Please place them on the desk and I will start on getting them cross referenced and then to the rightful persons. In case there are any that are not returnable where can I send them?"
After leaving the stronghold you head over to the temple. The priests are gathered around the altar and you can see on a side table the items you brought back.
"Hello again, m'lady," Durgan responds. "Meet Zork, Zork meet lady Estari. The ones that aren't returned, you can send to the inn my companion is staying at."
He provides her the name of the inn where he hired a room and Sessativa will be staying at while he goes adventuring.

Back at the temple, Durgan has a good look around. He tries to remember what he can about the deity it serves and their religion.
After taking it all in, he goes up to a priest and asks him about the symbol and items he brought. And also how many priests are coming on the expedition to the temple to consecrate it and prevent undead rising again. And how much it will all cost.
The Deity this temple serves is the Temple of Oghma a god of knowledge. They will tell you that two Clerics will travel with you to help re bless the temple grounds and the temple itself. Four pack mules will be given to you to help carry the tomes you found back. Plus other items if need be.
They are not sure who the temple worshipped but they know the that god is of no more and maybe some of the tomes can help clear some of the mystery of who it once belonged to. They tell you not to worry about the cost as most of the expense will be handled by them now that it is free of undesirables.
They take you over to where the weapons you brought back with you. The mace is a +2 mace with a extra +2 when fighting undead creatures thus a +2/+4 vs undead heavy mace. The Bow is also a +2 bow with no other added bonuses. The rod is a magical rod of magic missiles with a unknown amount of charges left.
"Magic missiles sounds useful," Durgan comments. "But is a man of god, like me or you, able to use it? Or is it the specialized knowledge of wizards?"
"Thanks for organizing the clerics and the mules, I was just about to get a horse. Is there a charge got that? Or a 'recommended donation'?" Durgan winks at the last phrase.
"And what of the staff or scepter or whatever it was? Is it not magical?"
"No the Scepter was not magical just a fancy scepter probably carried by the high priest of that long forgotten temple. Donations are always accepted my child. As far as the wand of magic missiles you just need to have the proper word."
"Keep the scepter then," Durgan replies. "I have no idea what the word would be to activate. I'll hold onto it and the mace, and I'll sell the bow. Thanks for your help.
"I would also suggest the clerics take holy water. I will be here at sunrise tomorrow, then we can head off. See you later!"
Durgan then goes shopping for 4 waterskins for 3 gp, 5 incense sticks for 5 gp and a draft horse with bags if he believes the mules will not be able to carry everything back. He also attempts to hire 2 cheap mercenaries and sell a spare dagger and shield.
Then he returns to the magic shop to sell the bow, mentioning it is magical and identified already.
