You finally arrive to the hut and it looks a lot like the one you left this past morning. There is no light coming from inside and the door is partway open. There is some firewood that has been chopped outside and a pile of logs that needs chopping.

The Chainbreaker says...The party decide against lighting a fire. Durgan locks the door and they eat together, having a chat. Sessativa goes to sleep in her bedroll, as Durgan looks at her, puzzled, for ten minutes before collapsing with his head resting on his pack.

Just over mid day you will find a small stream that has a few berry bushes to one side that can be picked for food. The stream is too small to bath in but you can refill water skins in it. As you continue East you can see a forest ahead that fills the horizon with dark greenness. You figure it is still a couple days travel to reach the forest.
