Micaiah looked down slightly embarrassed after Sessavita asked for helpful equipment. When she set out to look for his friend she wasn't expecting to met with anyone else, at least not out in the wild where she couldn´t get anything for the team. -I... I'm sorry I don't own much to help, I have a blanket and I can lend it if anyone get's cold, I can stand that alright, other than that I have not much to offer.
She kept her head down for a moment thinking in a way to make up in her lack of supplies. -Oh, well I can take second watch, I don't sleep much so I can take first watch with Sessavita too, if you'll have me my lady.- She offered trying to look thankful to her hosts.- Also, I am a hunter's child, so I can most definitely help you with getting some good food-. Hopefully this would make a good impression to them.
Out of Character: :I am going to post our watches and actions for the night, in order to keep the game moving. Everyone still feel free to post any further actions or role playing for the evening, in the event that KNtoran indicates we had an uneventful night continue with your actions for the next morning. (Not trying to be bossy, I am just trying to help us all in moving along in a timely manner.)
Sessativa appearing to take on the mother hen roll, covers Coron with her blanket and folds her canvas so that it could accommodate two bodies. "Some one may share my canvas this evening." Looking at Durgan to see if he will simply sleep uncovered in the warmth of the evening fire or accept her invite she packs back up her pack trying to be sure to put all the softer clothing on one side and the harder less forgiving items on the other for use as a pillow.
As she completes her task she replies to Micaiah's offer to take second watch and also give her company for her own watch, slightly disappointed that Durgan didn't speak up first. "I will be grateful for your company, you need not use such formal speech though, just call me Sessativa." She smiles politely at Micaiah.
"It seems you have the fourth watch." She states to Durgan. With everything settled she stokes the fire moving the end of the tree she dragged back over the flames. Taking one of the empty flasks she carries, fills it with water from her water skin and makes a nice bed of coals to sit it on to heat its contents for the tea she has been wanting.
"Where are you from?" She asks Micaiah while fishing for the dandelions that she and Durgan collected earlier. Sessativa continues to talk with Micaiah threw her watch and Micaiah's watch as well, while brewing her tea and offers to share with her. She then wakes Coron for his watch and goes to take her rest for the night.
(If Durgan accepts her offer to share her bed she goes and finds her way into the canvas carefully so as not to wake him, If he had declined then she would have covered him with it anyway while he slept during her watch and found her way underneath it as well when her and Micaiah's watch ends being careful to give him room.)
Durgan, tired from walking mentions that the next morning would be a better day for introductions, but answers what he knows about the ruins. "The priest told us that it's within the dense forest, and that there may be undead inside. Fear not, I have just the knowledge to deal with necromantic taint."
When the topic of watches comes up, Durgan is glad to fill any spot that nobody else wants. He likes to prove to himself that he can be tough through terrible conditions. He is pleasantly surprised when he is handed last watch.
"Oh, thank you," Durgan accepts Sessativa's offer of sharing the canvas. He doesn't make any special preparations, just clears a few twigs from under it.
Displaying his inventory, he shows the others his full water-skin, flask of holy water wrapped in cloth, carved tinderbox, 3 simple torches, and rations, with 7 days food remaining. On his average-build frame he wears studded leather armor under dark blue robes, over which his rusting iron holy symbol, a three armed fylfot, hangs on cord from his neck and prayer beads on his waist. Of weapons he has a short hammer for battle, a small wooden shield and a bow which he is not allowed to use, with 64 arrows. He offers either the bow or arrows to someone more capable. He leaves it up on offer all night.
And with that he promptly wishes everyone a good night, rests his head on his arm, covers himself with the edge of he canvas, facing outwards, and falls asleep.
Micaiah nodded when Sessavita told her she didn't had to be so formal with her speech. While Sessavita was covering Coran, Micaiah sat by the fire, wishing she had some of the beans her father often fed her during hunting trips and also, wondering if it was wise to stick with this party or not, when Sessavita's question pulled her out of her meditation state.
I am from a small town called Quapan. It's such a small place it doesn't even appear in most maps.- She answered while looking down, remembering a bit of the peace she used to have there. Suddenly clenching her fists, raising her eyes to Sessavita.- If those damned Orcs had never come, I wouldn't have to be in the wild. Douglas would've never ran away. Everything would had been all dandy and sweet like the ol' days then.- She looked down for a moment, it was clear she had some country accent. After the small pause, she spoke again.-Sorry for the emmm rant. Uhm.. Anyway, where are you from?.- She asked trying to move the conversation off her, speaking a bit slower, clearly trying to cover her accent.
Coron rested surprisingly well that night, which was a welcome changed from the several previous nights. He was a little startled when someone nudged his leg, but was pleased to find that it was Sessativa waking him for his watch. He looked down at the blanket covering him and thanked Sessativa for her kindness.
As Sessativa and Micaiah layed down to rest, Coron stoked the fire and took a drink from his water skin. He sat in silence, keeping his eyes and ears open for anything that might threaten him or his newfound companions. After his watch was over, Coron woke Durgan for his watch and returned to his rest for the remainder of the night.
Out of Character: : In the event of an uneventful night my actions are as follows, feel free to state your actions for the following morning as well and if KNtoran indicates we did not have an uneventful night we can backtrack and change our actions.
Spell for the day Ray of Frost.
Sessativa rises groggily with the first glimmering rays of the morning sun wishing she had not stayed up threw the second watch with Micaiah, the company was nice but a little more sleep would have been nicer. She sits in quiet contemplation preparing her spell for the day.
Afterward she looks to Durgan who had the last watch and bids him good morning. "Good morning, did you sleep well? I had intended on following up on my offer to rub your back but with our new found company thought better of it."
Sessativa begins to pack up her canvas and the flask used to make her tea while continuing in quiet conversation with Durgan so as not to wake the others quite yet. "If we find a lake or a river we can use my net to fish, also I am still in great want of a bath! I don't think we should continue our travel on the road but more off to the side of the beaten path in search for game, or we should try to progress toward the forest more quickly so as to increase our chances."
After a short while she asks Durgan for some rations for breakfast for the group and takes to waking the rest of the party in order to get an early start on the day and to have a better chance of finding game to eat. "We should try to make the best of the first hours of the morning hunting for food." She states to the group as they eat their rations and begin readying themselves for the day.
The next morning, Coron enjoys an early breakfast with the rest of the group. He then gathers up his things and packs them away in his backpack as the others do the same. As the party makes ready to leave, Coron decides that he will walk with his short bow in hand with a nocked arrow ready for any game that might be in range.
In case it was an uneventful night.
Micaiah Woke up curled up under her cape. Slowly she got up and greeted them.- Top o' the mornin' boys n' gals- She greeted still very sleepy. When she noticed her mannerism she quickly rephrased her words.- I... Um... I mean, Good morning fellow travellers.
She started getting ready for the hunt, checking her bow while thinking about the rules her father taught her. "Keep a low profile, make sure the arrow enters on the back of the head or in the back between both of the front legs to the heart for deers and big preys." The memories and lessons flowed back into her mind while she took a branch of straw she picked from the ground and placed it on her mouth.
