Sessativa concentrates on figuring out how to pry the chest open and break the lock, when unsuccessful she leaves the chest to Durgan. She then follows Durgan's lead after collecting the extra torches from the room.

The Chainbreaker says... Durgan tries to smash the lock, "Look here. It's in the speed and accuracy of the strike." But he just embarrasses himself when he can't open it either.

"I guess we can take the whole thing." He picks it up and tries to fit it in his pack. If it doesn't fit, he leaves it in the hallway to carry later.

The Chainbreaker says... Durgan looks in the direction of the echo, thinks nothing of it, then heads into the room. He first has a look through the papers on the desk, "This is quite unexpected. If there's a person living here, they sure are neat. I would not make my bed every day."
Unless Sessativa already has, he moves on to search the wardrobes. Then every inch of the room, especially the bed.
