Out of Character: Yes, it's a shame KNtoran missed my post. Durgan has a few things to organise, but Zork can follow along. And I noticed I mistyped a whole word, corrected now.
In Character: After leaving the shop, as they are walking back to the inn, Durgan says, "Zork, I have a problem I need to solve. There is an extremely irritating smell I have to get past in the temple. Apart from what the shopkeeper suggested, I can only think of using water-skins as air containers and breathing in from them. Do you have any other suggestions?"
Zork thinks for awhile. "You could dampen some cloth in vinegar and wrap it around your nose, you will smell the vinegar but not the other smell. Another option is sheep's stomach as a mask but your going to have limited air. What is causing the smell?"
"I honestly don't know," Durgan replies. "It is emanating from a door which I didn't manage to get open, on account of the assault of stench."
"That must be really bad. Maybe you should ask those that work in the morgue what they do unless they've grown accustomed to the stench the dead creates."
"I don't think I have the courage to ask that," Replies Durgan. "Doesn't that seem like a very strange question to ask? I think I'll stick to trapping air in water skins."
Zork shrugs, he's no expert as he prefers dry land to the sea or water so he never learned the mechanics of breathing. Still, he waited on the others to come to a conclusion so they all could be on their way.
After Sessativa admits the low chance of the Gust of Wind spell working, Durgan sighs defeated.
"I guess we'll try a combination of a spice under our nose and using waterskins for breathing. Zork, would you like to talk about this trip during lunch? I feel like you have hung around for long enough, you are clearly not going to walk out on us."
If Zork accepts, Durgan suggests a secluded corner of the tavern to prevent people overhearing.
More than willing to be engaged Zork agrees and follows the adventurers. At the tavern he listens eager to learn of the task and his part to play in it.
