In Character: Zork pauses from what he is doing and asks in a concerned way, "So what's your theory on what's happening to your lady?"
In Character: "I think she's just captivated by the knowledge held within the book," replies Durgan. "She must be learning, but I don't know what it is and whether it's going to be good or bad. It certainly doesn't appear to be evil on the surface, but if we choose to rest overnight while she reads, I can pray for better spells to determine the book's intent. Whatever effect it's having, it's getting more powerful."
In Character: Zork merely nods in agreement as Durgan's plan seems feasible but he does wonder if it can turn into days or weeks.
So Durgan is still blind, do you have any plans for that as in there must be something here to cure you? I thought Durgan's partner would know what to do. Thank goodness both of us didn't go blind, just imagine how that would have turned out.
That would have been horrible. I think Durgan believes he's permanently blind, but has also heard of miracles where the gods heal such aliments. When we finish the tower he will probably stay in his chapel, praying for healing and continuing to offer his services. I guess it's a revelation to him, how little all the gold platters and candles and his holy symbol matter when you can't see them.
Out of Character: *laugh* Zork is pretty tough but the spiders seem to be pretty lucky also remember how many dogs died getting us here so it really isn't Zork alone.
Out of Character: I knew those spiders were too many and too aggressive but now we know why - they were trained to be that way!
